    Not really, as someone who has actively owned business in Russia and traveled extensively in the former USSR, the agency was merely renamed "FSB". Also, all the Babushkas (old ladies) that sit out in apartment courtyards are still on the payroll and still report any interesting informatsey to the authorities. Nothing has changed. I once had business dealings with a former American head of the KPMG accounting offices in Moscow. They were raided too. After he handed over all the documents the Russian colonel in charge of the raid on site praised him mockingly: "You are a good corporate citizen".
