I actually agree with some of this. But, jobs are NOT abundant all over. They key is not for people to leave, but for companies to leave. Once the jobs leave, the people have no choice but to follow. People are just pawns. Jobs determine where people will go. Voters have made it abundantly clear, they don't want more building. I live here, and I even get a postcard in the mail anytime some developer wants to start building from angry voters. And then they start creating all kinds of problems for those developers at the local level. Then when developers do finally jump through all the stupid hurdles, they get sued to pieces by selfish voters. I don't even know why the judges allow that to happen: seems like a huge abuse of the legal system.
