I left my laptop (£2,000+ MBP) on a train in the UK (South eastern rail). Some amazing human handed it in, yay! The rail company charged me £30 to collect it as an admin fee. Now, when I find things, and this happens relatively often (I've no idea why) I find the individual using social channels like LinkedIn or waiting them to call the phone.
