- lacampbell 7y agoThe Republic of China is commonly known as Taiwan. No one is confused about the geopolitical entity you mean when you say "Taiwan". The ROC government has for some time used some variation of "Taiwan (Republic of China)" when using English - passports, visa entry stamps, embassies, etc.
