I remember the smashing the stack for fun and profit windows days. It was so easy to inject shell code it was laughable. Btw can you still name a file smss.exe, run it, and not end the process with the task manager?
- yrro 7y agoI just tried this on Windows 10 1903 and had no problem ending the process with task manager.
- kipqi 7y agoYou live in the XP days.
- jowsie 7y agoThe majority of the Windows haters I come across seem to be the same.
- trilila 7y agoI see windoze fanboys are having a leg-day today. Enjoy your ads and spying. Oh an the virii.
- jsjohnst 7y agoI haven’t ran Windows outside a VM (and only then for FPGA/ASIC programming tools) in the better part of a decade myself and loathe every second of the time I do run it in a VM, yet I still think you are out of line here. Maybe consider cooling off before posting more?
- trilila 7y agoSpecifically, what is bad in pointing out windows is a security liability, and a low quality os generally speaking? Along with blunt user spying though ads inside a product you paid for? Something tells me i stepped into a vicious fandom of that os.
