Unfortunately, it seems to need Python 2. It would be really nice if someone forked the project (it's pretty researchy/proof-of-concept right now!) and committed to maintaining it for the foreseeable future, to run on whatever supplants Python 2 as the "standard" platform for Theano, when that version of Python goes EOL.
