Could this process work at grid scale as a power storage for renewable energy?
- mirimir 7y agoAluminum refineries are often just that. But I doubt that they're workable and/or efficient enough at anything less than hugely industrial scale.
- ljf 7y agoThese batteries are not rechargeable - though you could create them with the 'spare' energy when wind power isn't needed for eg. Issue is the time that should plants could remain unused if the plant is not profitable at normal energy costs.
