Huh, 5 out of 15 interviewed developers referred to their desktop as "boring".
- pbhjpbhj 7y agoSurely that's right, a desktop should just keep out the way and let you work. The more boring the better?
- scandox 7y agoYes the consensus is "pretty boring"
- JoeAltmaier 7y agoYes, I don't even customize mine. I leave the OS, tools in default configurations. I do my work in the cloud. If my computer is hit by lightening, I toss it in the dumpster and get another one. Back to work within an hour. My toaster is also boring, and my pipe wrench, and my floor jack. Just tools.
