- mxcrossb 7y agoIt’s pretty clear here. Microsoft wins over skeptics, and who exactly are those won over skeptics? Don’t expect satisfying answers in the article. In general, I wish the passive voice was banned from headlines.
- mhb 7y agoThat's not the passive voice. An example of it would be "Skeptics are won over".

I know most people can't detect the passive voice properly, but I'm mystified as to what in this headline even makes you think it's passive. Usually, misidentification of the passive comes from people identifying some variant of the verb "to be." - TremendousJudge 7y agoI was thinking the exact same thing. It seems that it changed as soon as people writing online started trying to make a living out of blogging.
