So what's the news here? That apps are sending information to tracking services? How is this iPhone specific?
- baxtr 7y agoWell, to be fair, Apple is pushing privacy as differentiator quite hard. So, it is ok if they get scrutinized more for things that don’t run well on their platform. I just checked: ALL my iPhone apps have background sync on. For what?
- throwayEngineer 7y agoApple claims to be pro privacy, it's one of their last differentiators. But if this falls, it's an overpriced cheap Android IMO
- ubermonkey 7y agoIt isn't. It's a good article in the sense that it points out bad app behavior, but a bad one in that it suggests this is an iPhone problem, not a mobile problem.
