Just tried NixOS in the VM... the application launcher does not update after installing new packages... even after a log off or reboot. Running kbuildsycoca5 fixes it. See, this is the kind of absolute shit that makes Linux hot garbage. This is a central and catastrophic bug for a new user. I can't give NixOS to anyone with this kind of a bug. They'll be calling me at all hours and I'll want to shoot myself. Jesus Harold Christ. It has to fucking work. Get the basics down before you put out crap like this. I want the old nasty Linus back and I want him to take over a whole distro and tell the people who make shit like this that they are goofs and they should feel bad.
