This is ‘iPhone XS’

- nikolay 8y agoThe entire world knows XS is 'extra small'. These cryptic abbreviations should stop. I've always wondered why Samsung's flagship is called 'Galaxy S#'.
- diegoperini 8y agoIn music theory context, sharp implies augmentation. Maybe that's why? (No idea)
- earenndil 8y agoIt's not the Galaxy S#, it's the Galaxy S7, S8, S9, etc. (i.e. the # is replaced by whatever number).
- sushid 8y agoIt also sounds like "excess" which a Youtuber has already criticized them for.
- fcarraldo 8y agoI agree. Why not write it "iPhone 10S", at least? iPhone X is supposed to be pronounced "iPhone 10", though we will apparently never have an iPhone 9.
- rasz 8y agoDont you worry, one after SX will be called iPhone, just "iPhone".
- llampx 8y agoIntroducing... the Apple iPhone Tiny. It's so big, we had to give it a diminutive name.

- kapilkaisare 8y agoBy the name, I imagined it would be a successor to the iPhone SE, probably the only smartphone in the market I can comfortably use with just the one hand. It turns out it's anything but that.

- ceautery 8y ago"...will come in two sizes including a larger version" Two sizes generally includes a larger one... so I guess I can't fault the author's logic.
