- firemancoder 8y agoTo be fair it has flipped considerably, if you consider the extremists in each group. In the 2000s the extremist conservatives wanted to censor everything (mostly due to religion) and liberals wanted freedom of expression. Now it seems that extreme liberals want to censor "hate speech" which is absolutely valid, however the lines are moving or getting blurry to the point where they want to censor conservative ideas altogether, and conservatives want "freedom of expression". I've seen this shift and I'm sure many others have as well.
