I think one of the big factors might be, that it's more about money then the environment. The last time I've heard about Wework is that they are still expanding and not making any profit yet. It might be, that the funds are running dry and to cut costs, they are forcing their employees to bring in their on food on own expense. Should have kicked off with this thought process.
