You can hike right up to / behind the sign if you want to go there. The hike itself is an experience. The tram will enable the tourists who don't want to hike.

- chrisseaton 8y agoHow can you hike to it? It's on a hill totally surrounded by a built-up environment.
- CodeWriter23 8y agoThat’s part of the fun. You have to figure that out, while driving past the signs that say “No Hollywood Sign Access”.
- chrisseaton 8y agoI mean you can just walk up to it - you don't need to hike anywhere. It's in the middle of urban environment. It's not somewhere in the wilds.
- azernik 8y agoNo, it's not; it's on a hill in a large urban park (Griffith Park) with established hiking trails leading up.
