You have that quick friendliness you get in the USA, but after a few times, they will have no worries opening up to you with any problem or life situation. ps: I'm from there, and lived in most of Europe and various places in Portugal, even when I was away from Porto for 4 years, coming back, I made a bunch of new friends (and reconnected with older ones) that I have a deep connection with!
