Does empathy seem to thrive in smaller, homogeneous communities(ex. Japan, Nordic countries)?
- usrusr 9y agoI'd lean towards narrowing that question down to is it the explanation or is it just a confounding factor? Optimism mandates that it should hopefully be the latter. It doesn't take much imagination to assume that celebration of ruthless, "take everything you can" types could (in theory) also be minimized in larger, now mixed communities.
