I have observed the same. In my masters, Chinese friends were asked to join meetups and classes for improving english speaking. When I asked how they cleared Toefl(https://www.ets.org/toefl https://www.ets.org/toefl), which is required along with GRE score for getting admissions into US university, they mentioned its very easy to buy these scores. Somebody appears on their behalf in the test.
- raverbashing 9y agoFunny, you would think that the exam vendors would be interested in curbing that, but it seems their concern is not that big
- ams6110 9y agoJudging by the cars some Chinese students drive, it appears it's very easy for them to buy anything. McLarens, Maseratis, Ferraris, top-end models from BMW, Mercedes, Porche and Audi are not uncommon around campus and it's always a Chinese kid at the wheel.
