  Sorry to hear that. I'm not a recruiter, but I'm told that the fall recruiting season is a particularly busy time for them and we receive a very high volume of applications and resumes and that it's not inappropriate to follow up. Of course, we do keep your application on file in case an opportunity that matches your skills and interests becomes available.
