- AsyncAwait 9y agoI got the impression that the downvotes are because of: > There is significant empirical evidence that shows that policies such as long paid maternity leave harms women's wages and career progression. Which is not untrue, but has nothing to do with why maternity leave is beneficial, namely for the individual.
