- cathartes 9y agoI was a Panix user for many years. Reliable, competent, flexible, reasonably transparent, and a decent value if you're after the kind of thing they're offering. My only recommendation would be to stay away from the local panix.* usenet hierarchy. They're frequented by intelligent but remarkably insular folk, and they could easily leave you with a rather poor impression of the service. Just ignore them.
