Their current rating system is flawed. I found many good one star movies on Netflix.

  That is surprising. I've tried watching many 2-3 star movies and thought to myself "yep, this movie is shit" and stop watching.

    Most of the people don't get Art films.       Most people don't like or care about art films. Important distinction. They watch movies and series to be entertained and to be engrossed with the story. Not to appreciate the subtle nuances and artistic style. So most people will hate 1-2 star movies (including me).
