mirroring what the other person said, its more useful for anything which isn't video
A good example to consider is mobile phones and how sharp and precise the UI can be, with lines almost at hair thickness. Anti-aliasing is almost useless on phones already, and its all due to their pixel densities.
(of course, not so useful for 60" screens!)
