For two reasons:
- You get higher higher pay because hopefully you are more useful to your company than the other people in your team.
- You are probably forcing your team to work longer than they would if you left before them.
- throwaway2016a 10y agoAs I pointed out in another post. The average number of hours worked is barely more than 40 so I don't think people feel pressured. And related to that, we encourage people to use their vacation time.
