I made the mistakes of backing a number of smartwatches on Kickstarter and IndieGoGo. The Pebble, for its faults, was still the most stable, polished item out of all the crowdfunded items I've ever back. Separate note: I don't crowdfund anything anymore. Learned my lesson.
