For windows, conemu ( http://conemu.github.io http://conemu.github.io ) is a bit more annoying to configure than terminal.app, but works just as well, and even has the more powerful built in features like tmux. Of course you have to run something like msys2 (or maybe the bash for windows, but I haven't tried it yet) to get the "unix" environment.
