I have an Lenovo Thinkpad x220 running Ubuntu that I needed to set the BIOS to Legacy.
- vetinari 10y agoWeird. T430s in UEFI mode (with Secure Boot) has no problem with Fedora.
- smcl 10y agoWeird, I didn't have to do anything to get my X250 to play nice with Debian

- rmsaksida 10y agoI had a x220 and it worked fine with Ubuntu in EFI-only mode. Same for my current x230. Probably boots 1 or 2 seconds faster because of that. But I never managed to get it working by doing the partitioning work myself (which I prefer because I don't like having everything in a huge partition), you have to format the whole drive and let Ubuntu do its thing.
