Nice news, but I doubt this'll be any easier for hobbyists to acquire without harvesting them from devices

    they are, but like, they are usually ultra tiny (smaller than a business card), or prohibitively expensive. The best way of getting screens is to hop on ebay, and get a replacement screen, then reverse engineer the connecter they use
