It'd be nicer if people could stop derailing interesting threads with their gender politics and pedantry.
- peterwwillis 10y agoYou're worried about derailing a thread topic of "I like this post, please upvote me"? If you don't reply to it, it won't derail the thread.
- skywhopper 10y agoI took it as a suggestion not to assume the author is a male so as not to embarrass yourself when it turns out they aren't, as a bare minimum of investigation would have revealed. Since when is basic politeness "gender politics"?
- dexterdog 10y agoIt's gender politics when you tell me that using 'he' is not gender neutral. Sure, you may think otherwise, but we all have our opinions.
