I had the phone but had never used the dock. Not sure about the experience, but it's a cool idea to me.

I had the Atrix , stiil have, is running great ( but slow ) with the lapdock. Idea is absolutelly great, HW reall OK, but in software was never completly done. It felt like was more like a PoC. I was pretty dissapointed by Motorola not following this idea. It was kind of ahead of time. Like others commented, very few phones have a HDMI interface.
