Is Linkbubble free software, or they just made some agreement with author to use/rebrand it? (I always assumed it's proprietary, but seeing that others are FLOSS forks, would love to be wrong about this one.)

  How is it a sham? Taking an open source base and building on top of it as a business model is quite standard.
