I agree with you but there's no "quick email or phone call" with Amazon, and that's an issue for many people.

You can sign in or click the skip sign in button. From there, you can live chat, email, or have them call you. I found that within about 10 seconds of clicking around on their site. Admittedly, it required multiple clicks, because it's a bit buried, but it -is- there.
